Awesome product! It really is the perfect snack/meal replacement for climbing skiing, skiing, backpacking, etc… or when you just don’t have time to pack a lunch. Nutritious and energizing, true quality.

  2. Cmack (verified owner)

These bars are perfect breakfast/lunch replacement when I’m hunting/hiking/fishing or just when I’m in a hurry. Both flavors are excellent and these give you the energy and morale to keep on pushing on. Thanks for a great product, will buy again.

  3. Ariel (verified owner)

My go-to backcountry bar, I take bites out of it throughout the day and feel energized. As I am packing for a trip, I feel fueled up and ready when I have Range Bars in my pack. I have tried both flavors and prefer this one, as well as the coffee, but both are good.

  4. Vern Hee

I’m a 67 yo cyclist. I just finished an 82 mile, 5 hour+ bike ride with over 11,000 feet of climbing. 90% of my on-bike nutrition consisted of a single Alpine Start Range meal bar. It kept my energy up at a consistently high level and I was able to finish this ride faster than I imagined. I was pleased with the taste of this bar – it was more savory than sweet but very satisfying. I’m sold on this bar for long range workouts!

    Exactly what I needed!
At lunch, After a long day of hiking and climbing in the Negev desert of Israel, Alpine Start was the perfect way to fuel my body. Compact, light, delicious and full of nutrients.
Unfortunately we can’t get those here but luckily my dad was in the states so he got me a pack.

Just finished a hot, humid, hilly “metric century” bike ride, with no stops or rest stops. The ride started early in the day, and my only food before and during the ride was an Alpine Start Range bar, with PLENTY of water. Never felt hungry at all, and felt no letdown at all in performance. The small doses of caffeine throughout the ride were ideal. I had similar results with a Fresh Tracks bar on a 50 mile steady state ride a couple of weeks prior. In both cases, the bar was in my back jersey pocket and exposed to full sun and heat throughout the ride, but didn’t melt or become “too soft” at all. The small doses of caffeine throughout the most recent ride ideal. And, most importantly, the bars were absolutely delicious!

These are the best meal bars and one of only two solid foods I ate on the Colorado Trail. With ~120 cal/oz (including package weight), they’re calorically denser than any other quality carb. Non-carb nutritional density is an added bonus. I ate a Range bar more afternoons than not for weeks and I’m still not sick of them! They’re my bar of choice for full day hikes, too. I love the Alpine Start flavor since I can get my coffee fix without having to bring an extra bottle/canister to hold coffee.

These are great to keep handy for those days where everything in the morning goes sideways – no prep necessary, grab one & a bottle of water & you have a full breakfast & caffeine fix on the go. Would also be good for camping or an emergency kit, wherever power might not be available.

  9. Chaz (verified owner)

Perfect for an actual Alpine Start! One of my biggest challenges in mountain climbing has been getting enough easy to eat calories in a convenient package, and Range delivers.

  10. Max (verified owner)

You’re doing it right. I look forward to eating the bars while backcountry skiing and hunting. I can go for hours without needing other food. Always tastes good, never frozen in the cold.

rdered the six pack. Glad I did. Just returned from a week long trip to New Mexico (Angel Fire) and the Range Bars made a huge difference in my energy levels on my 6-8 mile daily hikes. Had one bar and I was good to go. The Fresh Tracks bar tastes GREAT BTW! Will order again and again…

  13. Ian Heinritz (verified owner)

I really enjoyed the Alpine Start meal bar, the bar is very dense but still tasted good and went down easy. I was not a fan of the taste of the Fresh Tracks bar as it seemed more dense and needed water to help it go down. Both bars were very filling and a great snack/lunch while on the mountain.

  14. Kelly (verified owner)

I recently went on a float hunt in Alaska and I took a 6 pack of these bars. They were perfect for a filling quick option to get the calories we needed to continue on. Highly recommend them.

great tasting bar. I usually munch on one through the morning as breakfast / midday fuel . Also great to keep in the pack just in case a short hike gets longer.
